Emirates Cancellation / Refund Policy
According to Emirates cancelation policy, it states that only Flex Plus fare are fully refundable over all the flight classes. The remaining fares (Saver/Special) are either fully non-refundable or refundable with a fee.
In the following circumstances, flight cancellations with refunds for unused tickets are permitted:
- If you purchase a ticket on Emirates at least seven days in advance of the departure date and cancel within twenty-four hours of the booking, you will receive a complete refund.
- If the flight originates from the U.S.
- The ticket was booked directly from the Emirates website.
- If a flight is canceled by Emirates and a new proposed flight is not preferable.
- If the flight is delayed by five hours or more and originates from European Union.
- Retaining fully refundable Flex Plus tickets in the event that a passenger needs to cancel their trip.
- Denied from boarding a confirmed booking.
- Flight was cancelled due to extreme weather.
- Unforeseen circumstances like a family member’s illness or death or passenger with proof.
In the rest cases, one may get charged the cancellation fee.
Note: The following is also covered under Emirates Airlines’ flight cancellation policy:
- The flight needs to be canceled before the departure or it will be a no-show.
- For a refund, passengers need to fill out and submit the Emirates ticket cancellation form on ticket refund.
- For the refunds to get processed it nearly takes 14 days from the submission of documents.
- Refunds get credited in the original payment mode.
- The amount of refund (if not qualified for full refund) will be dependent on the condition of the fare of the ticket.
