Travellers can book train tickets in Vietnam both, online and offline. For booking offline tickets, you can just go to your nearest Vietnam railways station with your passport and book tickets for your upcoming journey. For online, here’s a guide on How to do Vietnam train booking online.

- Go to official Vietnam train booking website. (Please use the given website as there are many third party vendors impersonating as official website.)
- Select source, destination, your travel dates and number of passengers in respective fields.
- Click on search button and different trains will be listed.
- Select your preferred train.
- Select your preferred coach type i.e. 6 bed air-con, 4 bed air-con, fan, sleeper, etc.
- Select your preferred seats and click on Buy ticket.
- Enter you passenger details and contact information.
- Select your payment method. You can either choose to pay online via your credit cards or you can pay at Vietnam railways stations within 48 hours.
- Your passenger and booking details will be displayed. Recheck everything and proceed to payment.
- Finally, A mail-on confirmation will be forwarded to the passenger with the train ticket.
Although it is recommended to use official website to do Vietnam train booking, you can use third party vendors like 12go, Baolau to book tickets for your convenience.
